Kristina Sheli, a Berlin-based singer, songwriter, and DJ, was born and raised in Georgia, one of the most diverse former Soviet republics. Growing up in a multilingual family, she discovered her passion for music early on. By the age of twelve, she was already hosting radio shows in her hometown of Zugdidi.

After relocating to Berlin with her family, Kristina immersed herself in the city’s vibrant creative scene. She took part in numerous singer-songwriter competitions and quickly became known as an underground performer with a distinctive voice and style. Over the past decade, she has built a reputation through countless live shows in Berlin and beyond, combining her stage experience with extensive studio work — from self-recording and songwriting to collaborations with international artists.

Her creative path includes working with bands, DJs, and producers such as The Revenge, Schlepp Geist, Ruede Hagelstein, Dilby, and Douglas Greed, with releases on acclaimed labels like King Street Sounds, Katermukke, Feines Tier, Hive Audio, and Mother Recordings. Never tied to a single genre, Kristina explores a wide spectrum of sounds, spanning Hip Hop, Trip Hop, Soul, Electronic, and House music.

In 2018, Kristina Sheli founded her own label, 4PAWS RECORDS. The name reflects her dedication to four-legged companions while serving as a platform for unique collaborations. Through 4PAWS, she has released projects with U.S. hip-hop legends including The Beatminerz, Confidence, DJ Dister, and Queensbridge icons such as Nature (from the pioneering supergroup The Firm), Craig G of the Juice Crew, and the legendary Blaq Poet from Screwball.

Her releases bridge the energy of Berlin’s electronic underground with the timeless soul of golden-era hip hop. Kristina’s lyrics cut deep, awakening hidden thoughts and emotions, while her sound invites listeners to pause, breathe, and stay in the moment.

Hailing from South Africa, Katlego Matseke, aka KaySoul, started making music in 2010, inspired by House, Kwaito, and Bubble Gum played on the radio in his township of Kwa-Thema. In 2018, he was awarded Best Male DJ and Best Remixer at the Dance Music Awards South Africa. He teamed up with Berlin-based Georgian singer Kristina Sheli, a versatile vocalist involved with Hip Hop, Trip Hop, Soul, and Electronic Music. “Blind” is about a connection between two souls that no one knows about—but the feeling remains. Blind in love. Blind from love. Reminiscent of those classic vocal Deep House tracks of yesteryear with a modern twist, both in the original and the Laidback mix.
